Single-sitting root canal
When the nerve inside a tooth is infected, root canal treatment removes the infection, cleans and seals the canals, and saves the tooth. With modern rotary instruments and good anaesthesia, it feels much like a filling.

Infected tissue is removed and the canals are cleaned and disinfected.

Canals are sealed and the tooth is restored, usually with a crown for strength.

It is done under local anaesthetic, so most patients feel little more than with a filling.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
